I should have pulled the brakes and instead,
I've just gone in and pushed ahead.
'What if' things were different, you whispered,
But tho we can fantasize, it's all a dream
Reality's harsh, too much in between.
And yet I'm once again alive, all on fire
Your face, your contours are deeply etched
Into my heart, in thoughts in my head.
It's sweet madness in its purest form
So shall I stay tho the climb is steep?
Or run away and once more weep?
