One said "I love you but I'm not yet ready,
It's better to stay friends and not go steady"
Two said "I do care but I might hurt you
Better to forget me and bid adieu"
Three said "I don't have time and it's not fair
To keep you waiting, you might despair"
Four said "You're rushing too much, you need more time
To make a decision where you'd feel fine"
And so on and so forth, until I understood
That they all want me single, for my own good!
