Roses and Nails (27-07-2007)

I hear your songs to pass the time
I know by now you'll never be mine
Yet although I cannot bear the pain
From loving you always I can't refrain

The roses beckon, they seem so soft
Their perfume heady, around it wafts
But I lay upon them, they turn to nails
And then I bleed, my mind derails.

They make me suffer, they cause me pain
This wound I have, it's all in vain
I should stop loving you, I know, I do
My bleeding heart, however, stays true.

Beautiful Poem. The heart is indeed speaking thru this poem and your words.

WOW!!! Even though it is heart-breaking: your poem is really, really good.
P.S.: I hope your scars will heal; and if you can find the time: check-out my blog (AsTheCrackerheadCrumbles). It might be of some help.
